Some people are naturally more independent than others. While some people will happily travel the world on their own, others will rarely venture to the restroom without any company. I’m here to tell you why you should never worry about doing what you want to on your own. Most importantly, you should never let the opinions and availability of others dictate what you do.
Basically, if you want to go and see something at the cinema, make sure you get yourself a ticket, no matter who is with you.
Wow, where has this week gone?! I’ve barely had a second to breathe this week, between choir practice and work drinks in Mayfair. I am ashamed to say that I have not eaten a home-cooked meal this entire week. Instead, I’ve been grabbing things on the go, with a few special meals in between. If you like Gordon Ramsey’s food, you’re going to love where I went on Tuesday.
In my spare moments, I’ve been stressing. Not only did I successfully host my first journalist press trip on Thursday (I thought my heart was going to beat straight out of my chest when they were two hours late), but we’ve also been house hunting. If you know London, you’ll have no doubt heard about the crazy housing market. It is the most stress-inducing thing that I’ve ever come across.

Today is the day – Disney dining reservation day! When visiting Walt Disney World, you are able to book dining reservations in the Disney restaurants up to 180 days in advance. And, even better, if you’re staying in a Disney resort you can book reservations on your 180 day date, plus the next ten days of your stay. Since we’re staying in Disney for ten nights, I was able to book all of our restaurants today.
I’m going to talk you through both the reservation process (so hopefully you will be able to navigate it a lot better than I did) and also the restaurants we have chosen and why they made it into our top 10.
I was very excited about being able to book advance dining reservations (ADRs) from 11am on Thursday, but it quickly turned to stress when the website was basically unusable. Everything I was clicking resulted in an error message, complete with a photo of Lady and the Tramp. Let me tell you, after an hour of trying an failing to book times, I was sick to death of those dogs!

Budapest is cheap, especially where accommodation is concerned. When we started looking for a suitable hostel, we quickly realised that we could afford a fairly decent hotel for only slightly more than the price of a hostel elsewhere. Result.
I really recommend the hotel we stayed in, which features a balcony that I could happily stand on, staring off into the distance, all day. Plus, Budapest has some very cool hostels, perfect for those who want to explore the ruin bars all night.
