Whenever I go on holiday, I tend to keep every ticket, scrap of paper, and memento that I can find. Rather than taking pride of place back home, they tend to stay in a pile in a drawer somewhere, to be pulled out every few months and looked through.
I decided that this wasn’t good enough, especially when I had so many maps, stickers, and memories saved from my trip to Florida in October 2016. The mass of paper was being ignored and was taking up a lot of room in my drawer. I decided to fix two problems in one and made the most of these mementos by displaying them permanently in my room.
Here’s how I did it.
Whenever someone asks about my love of Disney World, I reply that I practically grew up in central Florida, visiting every few years since the age of three. In between these magical trips, I had a fair few memorable trips to other parts of the world. While I may no longer be a fan of the traditional beach holiday, I used to love to spend the day making mischief on a beach somewhere. Running up and down, begging my dad to dig a big hole in the sand for no reason, and jumping in and out of an inflatable tyre were all staples of my childhood.
In October, I made more memories to last a lifetime in Disney World with my sister. Also that month, Harry at Instant Print asked me to write a blog post about my postcard-perfect memories of my travels. They also send this bundle of goodies, which came in very useful in Florida.
Without further ado, here are my snapshots of my favourite travel memories so far.
I’m so excited to go to Walt Disney World in October. This isn’t a solo trip, though, I’m taking my baby sister along for the ride. Not quite as small anymore, she’ll be in her first year of sixth form college when we fly over to the place where magic lives. We’re thinking of blogging and even vlogging the entire trip, so I thought you should probably become better acquainted with her.
We have both been luckily enough to grow up while visiting Walt Disney World. I’ve only been to Florida once without her, back when I was three years old, and since then we have both visited six more times. Looking back at the photos of us growing up over the years is something really special, so I’m very glad that we’re onto the next stage now where we can be trusted to go together.
Today, she’s answering 30 Disney Parks questions for your entertainment. Be sure to say hi to her in the comments. She’s rather excited to feature on my blog, so I’m sure you’ll make her day!
Sadly the title of this blog is a tad misleading as I haven’t actually won an award. But the lovely Miss Jamie-Leigh has nominated me to answer ten tricky questions, which is just as good.
The Liebster Award is a tag that’s travelling around the blogging community at the moment. Someone nominates you, invents ten questions, you answer them and then nominate another ten people. It’s not too complicated, right? Though I’ve been given some fairly tricky questions. So if you want to find out what the best lipstick ever is or read my starter blogging tips, read on.
