It’s mid-November, and therefore I am expecting to see festive cheer and decorations whenever I go. What can I say: I love Christmas. Restricting Christmas to just December is just not enough for me.
At the weekend, I went on an autumnal walk around central London to see some of the new decorations and give my camera a bit of a work out.
Some of my favourite Christmas decorations in central London this year can be found in Covent Garden. They have it all, from their classic mistletoe hanging over the main market place, to a gigantic Christmas tree sitting in the biggest pot I’ve ever seen.
My last week of being 21 was pretty crazy, and the first week of being 22 has been busy in a different way.
I feel like I haven’t stopped this week, but it’s been thanks to work rather than fun. But it was also my birthday on Monday! Last year my 21st was pretty epic and consisted of a solid week of celebrations. I knew that all subsequent birthdays would become more subdued, and I wasn’t wrong. I decided to take a few well-deserved days off work last week to go home and properly relax for a while, which was all the sort of celebration that I wanted.
Back in London, I had to do a full day’s work on my birthday but then I went out for dinner with my best London pals. We had a great time drinking all-night happy hour cocktails and discounted American food at Maxwells in Covent Garden. Luckily for me, Monday is their night for discounted everything so we got more than our money’s worth.
