Recently, this has question has been sticking in my brain. How many people wear make-up to work? Do most people do their normal routine every morning? The more that I realised that a lot of people wore no make-up at all, the more that sounded appealing for me. So this week I’ve been doing a little experiment.
I already don’t wear any eye make-up to work, and there’s a good reason for this. My eyelashes are quite long, and it’s impossible to wear mascara without it rubbing off a bit under my eyes, giving an unappealing zombie look. At the weekends and when I’m doing something fun, this is very manageable, but I can never be bothered when it’s 7am on a Monday morning. So I have my unframed eyes, but all my foundation and powder usually finished off as usual before work every day.
But this week, the foundation has gone.
It has been a fairly long time coming, but I have finally found the time to answer the ’25 questions tag’ after Kat so kindly tagged me a few weeks ago.
If you’ve ever wanted to know a bit more about me, prepare to be amazed.
From the best burgers to dream holidays, all shall be revealed!
Well, don’t tell me my week hasn’t been eventful.
This one has been full of great highs and horrible lows. The latter sadly included accepting that I’m not going to be able to move out of my rubbish house share for another three months. But, come September, I’ll be free from my contract and (fingers crossed) be able to move into a house or flat with my uni housemates. Time to start the countdown!
I’m never one to dwell on the negatives, and this week has been full of great moments too. My birthday is on Monday 23rd, and this week has been a sort of extended celebration of that. I booked two days of work and travelled back to my family home on Wednesday night. Before that, I decided to buy myself a birthday present of my own in the form of expensive running shoes. I think I’m in love with them (yes, it’s a sad life that I lead)!
Read on for burgers, relaxing and my first forray into crafting with my very own pair on minnie ears…
Sadly the title of this blog is a tad misleading as I haven’t actually won an award. But the lovely Miss Jamie-Leigh has nominated me to answer ten tricky questions, which is just as good.
The Liebster Award is a tag that’s travelling around the blogging community at the moment. Someone nominates you, invents ten questions, you answer them and then nominate another ten people. It’s not too complicated, right? Though I’ve been given some fairly tricky questions. So if you want to find out what the best lipstick ever is or read my starter blogging tips, read on.
This week has moved at a glacial pace. You know it’s not going to be a great time when Monday feels like Thursday. But the weekend eventually arrived, as it always does, and freedom soon beckoned.
The highlight reel of this week includes devouring my first savory pancake, eating ready meals in a Catholic Halls of Residence, getting tipsy on free champagne, and watching Billy Elliot the musical. The latter involved a slightly shitty encounter with one of London’s obnoxious birds.
Read on for the low-down.
