Food. Wine. Two of my favourite things. Disney had the great idea to put both together and turn it into a festival quite a few years ago, and now the Epcot Food & Wine Festival draws thousands of people everyday. It runs for several months in the autumn, and is particularly busy on weekends as the locals come to Disney World to taste their way around the world. We had a great afternoon of choosing dishes.
Also on Day 9, we went for a long walk around the Boardwalk. This is another place that is more popular on evenings and weekends, but it’s a lovely and peaceful place to be at any time of the day or week.
To wrap up the day, we ticked a dining experience off our Disney bucket list and ate next to the water at the San Angel Inn at the Mexico Pavillion.
So what are you waiting for? Take a look at my new vlog and then come back for my tips and tricks below.
I’ve had some great theatre experiences in my life, from seeing Newsies on Broadway to sitting on the front row for Miss Saigon and Wicked. But this one night in a tiny off-West End theatre in Kings Cross was probably better than all of them. Thanks to my theatre-nerd friend Carrie, I ended up with a ticket to see the last ever London performance of In The Heights. Yes, we had bad seats right at the side, but the atmosphere was everything. To top it all off, composer of both In The Heights and Hamilton, Lin-Manuel Miranda (aka my idol) showed up and I could not handle it.
What a night!

I guess you could say that I’m now a protester. I completed the Women’s March London on the 21st January 2017.
Previously, I’ve been content to sit at home, on the tube or on my lunch break, and learn about women’s rights. How disadvantaged women are as a whole, as well as the separate struggles for the minorities within our number, like black or disabled or transgender women.
The things I read made me angry. Sad. Confused. Scared.
So I shared them around. A retweet, sending the link to friends. As we enter 2017, and a man who is very far from a feminist claims one of the most powerful titles in the world, that isn’t enough any more.
I went on an adventure at the weekend. It was technically a work trip, as I had to write an article for one of my magazines we create, but it was a lot of fun. I got to stay in a lovely country hotel, eat incredibly fancy food, and have a spa day. As far as weekends go, it was pretty great.
I vlogged the whole trip especially for you, so put the kettle on, sit down, and have a watch. Then come back and read my review of the trip. Enjoy!
One week down, 51 to go! How has 2017 been treating you so far? I’ve an all-over-the-place week, but there are definitely some highlights to share.
You may have seen my horrified tweets about the fact that I’d managed to bring my dad’s laptop back to London after Christmas instead of my own. They’re both the same model in the exact same shade, so it’s an easier mistake to make than you might think. Long story short, mum decided to come to visit me in London on Friday to do the great laptop exchange of 2017. I showed her around a bit while she was here.
I also got back into reading this week. Read on and all shall be revealed.
