This year has been the most diverse of my life so far. I’ve been a student, traveller, intern, employee, Londoner, Sheffielder and a lot more inbetween. It’s been another great one, so I’m going to share some of the best bits with you.

On short notice, we struggled to find accommodation within our backpacking price range during our visit to Nashville. So, unusually, I’m not going to recommend the place where I stayed in the city. But there are some truly incredible hotel options in and around Nashville, including a boutique hotel on the outskirts of the city, and they’re making me want to book my stay right now.

It takes a while to really connect with some places. While you may have a general good feeling towards a city, it can often take a few days, or even a few separate visits, to really connect with a place. Nashville was not one of those places for me. I fell in love with this rambunctious musical city immediately, and I will forever have fond memories of the time I spent there. If you like live music, a great atmosphere and proper deep south cooking, then this is the city for you.

You already know that I like to travel, but you might not realise that it also fills me with uncertainly. I tend to be quite introverted when meeting new people, and I feel nervous when I’m not 100% sure how to get back to the hostel after a long day of exploring a new city. Despite that, it is my favourite thing to do. To remind myself of why I love it so much, I thought I would gather together some perfect travel quotes and share them with you.

I am lucky enough to work in an office just a stone’s throw from Hyde Park, which is currently being taken over by Christmas. Winter Wonderland descends on the park every year, trampling down the otherwise pristine grass with helter-skelters, rollercoasters, Bavarian bars and food stalls. It’s a completely different experience in the day compared to the evening, so I decided to do both and tell you all about it.
