This week’s vlog might look like we’re slacking a bit. It appears that we casually go to ‘Ohana for an incredible evening meal, followed by an evening at Epcot. But what did we do for the rest of the day? Sleep?
In fact, a lot of our day did not get captured in the vlog. We started off at Typhoon Lagoon, going on all the slides and enjoying the wave pool for a few hours. I didn’t want to risk having my camera stolen from a locker or swallowed up in the wave pool, so I took the morning off vlogging.
Have a watch of this week’s vlog, then read on for all my tips, tricks and to hear about Typhoon Lagoon.
I may be a Walt Disney World veteran, but now I’m mixing it up. I have always been to Florida every few years, so I’m not due for another trip until at least 2018. Yet, a few months after I got back from Orlando, the urge to book another holiday was overpowering. Of course, I could have booked a weekend break or a big trip to another part of the world. But if you know me, you’ll know that I can’t resist Disney for too long. Combine that with two friends that eventually wore me down, and it equals one trip to Disneyland Paris.
I’m going for four nights in early April. We have good times on the Eurostar, so I hope this will mean that we get to do all the big rides, see all the shows, and meet lots of characters as well. As well as Carrie and Sabrina, I’m going with all the girls that I went to see In The Heights with, so it will be good to get to know them all better.
Also, a five-day park ticket is around the same price as an annual pass soooo I might be purchasing one of those as well. Did someone say Christmas trip? The festive period is my favourite time of year and I have never been in a Disney park while the decorations are up. Could 2017 be the year to change that?
For the next two months I’m going to be researching Disneyland Paris tips and tricks to try and get some semblance of knowing what is going on. There’s also so much to learn about the 25th anniversary. Wish me luck! I’m sure it will all turn out fine because I’m being shown around by Disneyland Paris veterans. What could possibly go wrong?
Where are you going on holiday this year? Anywhere Disney related? I’d love to know! Share you plans in the comments. Also any tips for Disneyland Paris are very welcome! What things do I absolutely have to try and do when I’m there?
Food. Wine. Two of my favourite things. Disney had the great idea to put both together and turn it into a festival quite a few years ago, and now the Epcot Food & Wine Festival draws thousands of people everyday. It runs for several months in the autumn, and is particularly busy on weekends as the locals come to Disney World to taste their way around the world. We had a great afternoon of choosing dishes.
Also on Day 9, we went for a long walk around the Boardwalk. This is another place that is more popular on evenings and weekends, but it’s a lovely and peaceful place to be at any time of the day or week.
To wrap up the day, we ticked a dining experience off our Disney bucket list and ate next to the water at the San Angel Inn at the Mexico Pavillion.
So what are you waiting for? Take a look at my new vlog and then come back for my tips and tricks below.
Another week and another behind-the-scenes of a Disney vlog! Can you believe that we’re on day eight already?
Today we went to Animal Kingdom in the morning, finishing off the attractions and shows that we missed on our first visit, and spent the afternoon and evening in Hollywood Studios. It was our first visit to the Studios and we managed to get up to a spot of mischief as well.
Watch the video, and then come back for my top tips.
The end of the year always gets me thinking. How did it all go? How does 2016 compare to the years that proceeded it? It was a year of mountainous highs and bottom-of-the-ocean lows. Like most people, I find it a lot easier to remember the negative. But the year that brought us the horrors of Brexit, also gave me a lot to smile about.
To spread a bit of 2016-positivity, I thought I’d share some of my top moments of the year. When I think about it, this year was actually a cracker.
