I’ve seen the words introvert and extrovert being banded around a lot lately. There’s a cartoon portrayal of both of these words; introverts don’t leave their homes and curl up in bed alone with a new Netflix series every night. Extroverts, on the other hand, will always be in the pub, cracking jokes and being the life of the party. In reality, it’s not much like that. I am a complete introvert, but I don’t have every trait that the more shy people are meant to help.
This is what I’m really like.
I’m not a Disney snob, but I have never had the highest opinion of Disney on Ice. For some reason I’ve never been to see it, and I have always had the perception that Disney-related shows and events in the UK can never match up to my beloved Disney World in Florida. I still stand by that, but Disney on Ice has definitely started to change my mind.
I bought tickets for me and my sister for her birthday and, a few months later, off we went to see it in Birmingham at the NEC. We immediately put our custom Minnie Mouse ears on, and since there’s nowhere else in the UK where it’s almost normal to wear them, it felt pretty special.
Besides, it’s not like you get to see Mickey Mouse in ice skates every day!
Watch the vlog of the day to see what we thought. I’ve included a lot of clips from the show, too, so you can decide if you want to go and watch during their next tour.
Isn’t it funny how a year can seem to last forever, but not very long at all at the same time? That’s what my 22nd year has felt like. It’s weird to think that this time last year I was living in a horrible house share in west London, coming up to my one year anniversary of working full-time. A lot has changed since then – thankfully! This year has definitely been one of huge highs and massive lows. One thing is definitely for sure; I’m so much better at coping with both ends of the spectrum now.
Here are some of my highlights, and I’ll even throw in a few lowlights to prove that everything isn’t perfect all the time.
The morning dawned on our first full day in Disneyland Paris, bringing with it a new pair of vlogs! We had a bit of a slow start, but that did leave lots of time for the buffet breakfast in our hotel. I was pleasantly surprised, as this ‘continental breakfast’ included pastries, cereals, and a full hot food selection. It was the perfect fuel ahead of a busy day in the parks.
Take a look at what we got up to in the morning:
A highlight was definitely getting to meet two of my favourite characters; Winnie the Pooh and Tigger. It was almost worth the trip for those hugs alone!
We got to explore the Studios park this morning and I enjoyed getting to know the area. The Pixar area is so well themed, but I think I like the Ratatouille area even more. It’s beautifully themed and is home to the cutest ride ever. Who doesn’t want to sit on the back of a rat and go for a tour around Paris?
In the afternoon, we watched the parade again and this was my favourite viewing of the whole trip. All the characters were waving right at me – and I somehow managed to make Donald swoon. Adorable.
Later, we went to get some fancy cocktails in the Disneyland Hotel. These were very pricey, but quite strong, as you can probably tell from all the giggling that went on in the evening. I definitely recommend a trip to the Fantasia Cafe as the atmosphere is so calming after a busy day of rushing around with the crowds.

Have you been to a Disney Park? Which character would you most like to meet?
Can you think of a world without the Disney Store in the closest city? Thankfully, being 22, I can’t remember a time before this shop brought a bit of magic to the high street. In fact, pixie dust has been sprinkled in the UK for 30 years now, and I am so thankful that the shops remain as popular as ever. I’m lucky enough to work quite near to the flagship UK store on Oxford Street, London. That means that whenever I’ve had a rough morning at work, I can power walk over to the Disney Store, check out all the new merchandise, chat to some Cast Members, and leave with a smile on my face, ready to handle the rest of the day. That’s pretty special.
A few weeks ago, the Disney Store contacted me to help celebrate their big birthday this year. Bloggers are coming together to recreate scenes from their favourite Disney movies, using props that are on sale now with Disney.
If you know me, you’ll know that I have a slight obsession with Winnie the Pooh, so that had to be top of my list. Then I got a special delivery on Saturday afternoon with Disney branding all over it. The package felt soft and squishy, so I had some idea of what it was going to be. Opening it, I found the cutest Eeyore soft toy ever. He’s super soft and perfectly huggable.
It gave me the perfect idea for my photo, too.
