From London to Manchester to home in a weekend | weekly round-up

This weekend was truly non-stop. From hungover train journeys across the country, to snuggles with dogs, it was a mad one.

It started with the work Christmas party on Friday night, which involved limitless wine and prosecco. That, combined with a photo booth and work colleagues, could be a recipe for disaster but I managed to avoid embarrassment (or at least I hope I did…). The photo booth came with lots of props and one of them was a pair of mouse ears. Not only did I decide to wear them in every photo, but I also decided to keep them on around the whole party. You can take the girl out of Disney, but you can’t take the Disney out of the girl.

The next morning, I was on a trek to my friend’s house in Manchester where a big group of us were gathering for our version of Christmas. It’s slowly becoming a yearly tradition. This year we were treated to dauphinoise potatoes and honey roasted winter veg. Delicious was an understatement.

There’s still more!

After spending the night up in Manchester, I stopped off at home for the night on my way back south. It was great to see the family and have cuddles with my dog, even if it was a flying visit. Luckily, I was able to take Monday off work so I got to stay the night.

I’m sure you won’t be surprised to know that I have been exhausted at work this week. How long until the next weekend?
