Magic moments at Magic Kingdom | Disney vlog behind-the-scenes

It’s Magic Kingdom day! After a lazy start, it felt like we’d wasted half the day after going for a run, relaxing at the pool and getting breakfast in the Caribbean Beach food court. We were raring to go as we caught the bus to our favourite place in the entire world. There’s something about walking around the corner onto Main Street U.S.A. that is so incredibly magical every time.

We spent the rest of the day soaking up the atmosphere, going on loads of rides and eating at the Liberty Tree Tavern, which was delicious. Read on for the highlights and my tips.

Festival of Fantasy

I have always watched the parades from Frontierland because you don’t have to wait as long to see them. They start through the huge gates just to the left of Splash Mountain so it arrives in Frontierland far before it gets to Main Street. We got our spot around half an hour before the parade started and all the shady spots were already taken. Even though it was mid-October, it was boiling. To get a prime spot in the shade, expect to wait at least 45 minutes. Personally, I’d rather spend a bit longer doing other things and than waiting in return for a slightly better spot.

Liberty Tree Tavern

If you’re thinking of making an ADR here, I have one tip for you – do it.

The food here is simply delicious and it’s a welcome break from all the burgers and chicken nuggets! It was great to be able to have a roast dinner, Thanksgiving style, with all the trimmings. The portions are huge and you can still request more food if you have a particularly big appetite. I would have happily sat there all afternoon but my eyes proved to be bigger than my tummy.

This was our second time at Liberty Tree and I know I will definitely go back again.

4th Fastpass+ of the day

We used our last Fastpass of the day on Dumbo. While we were waiting for our turn, I thought I would check the app to see if there were any other rides available, even though there was only 30 minutes until the park closed. As chance would have it, there was a Fastpass available for The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh in ten minutes. We were able to walk straight over there once we were finished on Dumbo.

I hope you enjoyed day five, and don’t forget to leave any questions in the comments.

Stay tuned for day six, coming next week, as it’s full of trauma, laughs, and an incredible safari!
